The debate about social inclusion is old. For too long, nations have tried to increase the per capita income of each individual as a way to promote social inclusion. Recently, the topic gained breadth and staff from different areas of knowledge, focusing the debate on improving the quality of life.
Economic development combats poverty level seeking the reach of effective social inclusion, employment generation and income. Thus, needs are met, such as health, education, housing, transportation, food and leisure to promote well-being.
The Socio-Productive Inclusion requires an intersectoral coordination and a comprehensive look at human beings and their basic needs. In this parameter, the government seeks to promote socio-productive inclusion in parallel with the promotion of economic growth and development.
In Brazil, some programs promote the guaranteed minimum income, such as "Bolsa Família". Other programs and policies have also been implemented with a focus on people in extreme poverty, as housing, education, work, health, encouragement and family farming projects.
