Governance is undertood as the "act of government"; it comprises the set of standards, instances and procedures that govern the platform operation, so that the decision-making processes are clear, both for entities already in the platform, as for those entities wishing to be added to the initiative.

The Good Practice Platform for Sustainable Development consists of several entities, governmental or otherwise, with or without economic purposes, signatories of the Letter of Principles of Good Practice Platform for Sustainable Development

Here are presented the Strategic Committee and the Executive Secretariat; Internal Rules, of which consists of detailed rules, instances and procedures governing the Platform, contained in item "Learn More" sub item "Attachments". 

 

Strategic Committee 

It consists of 07 members (one representative from each maintaining entity and two representatives from partner entities), being coordinated by Official Owner of the FAO's Regional Office for Brazil's Southern Region. The Committee is the highest instance of the Good Practices Platform for Sustainable Development, which is responsible for strategic decisions.

 

Executive Secretariat

Exerted by the FAO's Projects Coordination Unit for Brazil's Southern Region, which is responsible for the tactical and operational instances, also serving as processes and communication facilitator, both between different instances of Good Practices Platform for Sustainable Development, as well as the dialogue with staff and external entities.
